Organizing Made Simple

We believe an organized space is more than just tidy shelves or labeled bins — it’s a way to bring peace, purpose, and ease into everyday life. Whether it’s clearing the clutter from a kitchen drawer, finally tackling that overflowing closet, or finding the perfect storage solution for all the things life brings, we’re here to help you make sense of the mess — without the stress.

Around here, organization doesn’t have to be expensive, fancy, or overwhelming. We’re big fans of keeping things simple, practical, and affordable — using what you already have when you can, and making small changes that make a big difference. From repurposing containers to scoring great finds from the dollar bin (or Amazon), our goal is to show that creating order in your home can actually be fun, satisfying, and totally doable — no matter your space or budget.

In this space, we’ll share real-life organizing projects — the little wins and bigger challenges — along with helpful tips, smart hacks, and lessons learned along the way. We’ll also link any tools, bins, baskets, or clever solutions we’ve found and loved, so you don’t have to go searching.

Whether you’re organizing a closet, pantry, bathroom, or garage — or just trying to bring a little more calm to your daily routine — we hope this space inspires you to take small steps that make your home feel lighter, easier, and beautifully functional. After all, a well-organized life isn’t about perfection — it’s about creating room for what matters most.

Organizing on a Budget

We absolutely love organizing — the joy of turning clutter into calm, chaos into clarity. But here’s the thing: we believe organizing shouldn’t have to be expensive, complicated, or Pinterest-perfect. Real life is messy, busy, and full of stuff — and that’s okay!

There’s something incredibly satisfying about bringing order and purpose to a space using simple, affordable solutions that just make life easier. Whether it’s repurposing old jars, baskets, or bins you already own, or discovering a clever storage hack that makes your closet actually work for you — it’s all about creating spaces that feel calm, functional, and totally doable.

Here at Life Styled and Living Well, we’ll be sharing tons of ideas — from small, bite-sized organizing projects to budget-friendly storage finds and easy DIY fixes. Think: spice cabinet makeovers, under-sink solutions, entryway drop zone hacks, and maybe even the occasional pantry glow-up (for under $20).

We’ll also drop links to fun and affordable things we stumble across — because nothing’s better than scoring a great deal that makes your life simpler.

Our hope is to inspire you to start where you are, use what you have, and feel good about the spaces you create — no stress, no overwhelm, and definitely no breaking the bank. Organizing can be fun, freeing, and full of creativity... and we’re here to cheer you on every step of the way.

Organizing Your Closet

A well-organized closet creates a space that makes getting dressed feel a little more effortless and enjoyable. Whether you have a spacious walk-in or a small reach-in, a few small changes can make a big difference in how your closet functions and how you feel every time you open the door.

We like to start by taking everything off the racks so we can see exactly what we have (prepare yourself, this is the messy part). We sort our clothes and accessories into categories — keep, donate, and store. This is where we all need to be honest about what we really wear and what no longer fits us or our lifestyle. Once we’ve paired things down a bit, we group similar items together. Hang clothes by type and color to make it easy to find what we need in seconds. We keep everyday essentials front and center, and store seasonal pieces on higher shelves or in bins.

Here are two space saver finds that have helped me stay organized. These magic hangers really help consolidate a lot of my slacks and jeans on one hanger and these hangers for holding all of my athletic/yoga pants.

Tip: These bins that can go under the bed work great for storing seasonal pieces elsewhere, which also gives you a little more room in your closet.

Another tip: Dedicate a section of your closet to your go-to outfits or weekly wardrobe picks. This little “style zone” takes the guesswork out of busy mornings and helps you feel pulled together, even when you’re in a rush.

A quick pantry update can make a big difference — not just in how it looks, but in how smoothly your days run. Start by clearing out anything expired or unused, then group similar items together (think baking essentials, snacks, canned goods). Swapping bulky packaging for clear containers or labeled baskets instantly makes everything easier to see — and easier to grab when you need it. In just an afternoon, you can transform your pantry from cluttered to clean, creating a space that feels both functional and calming every time you open the door.

I’m sharing a few Amazon purchases that helped me (and my food pantry) get organized like these OXO baking containers or glass spice jars. Both the containers and the jars bring some uniformity and organization, while allowing me to see what’s inside. And these expandable tiered shelves for canned goods along with a lazy susan keeps things organized while giving me some extra space.

Whether you love cooking big family meals or just want to grab a snack without digging around, having an organized pantry feels like a small luxury you’ll appreciate every single day.
