The Heart of Easter
Easter isn’t just about family dinners and Easter egg hunts, it’s a reminder of something far deeper.
There’s something about Easter that feels like a gentle exhale. A time that holds deep meaning for many. A celebration rooted in faith, sacrifice, love, and resurrection. As Christians, we believe that. This day is known as Good Friday.
Good Friday marks the day Jesus was betrayed, beaten, and ultimately crucified to save the world. It stands as a powerful reminder that grace was given freely, even in the face of deep betrayal and unimaginable suffering. Many observe this day in quiet stillness, taking time for reflection marked by gratitude, humility, and a renewed awareness of just how deeply we are loved.
But the story doesn’t end there.
Three days later, Easter Sunday breaks through with light. It brings the miracle of the resurrection with the stone rolled away, the tomb empty, and the powerful truth that Jesus is no longer there. He is risen! What once felt heavy is lifted, giving way to hope, joy, and promise just as he said.
This is what makes Easter so powerful. It holds both the sorrow and the celebration, the sacrifice and the joy. It reminds us that life is often lived in those same spaces, where heartbreak and hope can exist side by side. And through it all, we are never alone.
Easter gently reminds us to slow down, to be present, and to hold tightly to what matters most: faith, family, and the enduring power of love. As we gather with family, share meals, create memories, and even hunt for Easter eggs, we pray that you feel the love, peace, and joy of this season.
