Hi, I’m Teresa — self-proclaimed book lover! Whether it’s a paperback I can flip through, an ebook I can read on the go, or an audiobook that keeps me company on a walk or while organizing the house — I’m always looking for my next great read.
I love books that pull me in and let me dream, imagine, escape, or even learn something new. My reading tastes are pretty broad — one day it might be a lighthearted rom-com that makes me laugh out loud, the next a deep and inspiring faith-based read that really speaks to my soul. I’m also a sucker for a juicy psychological thriller that keeps me guessing, or a moving autobiography that lets me walk in someone else’s shoes for a while.
Each year I set a personal reading goal, and this year it is to read one book per week — and so far for 2025, I’m on track!
If you ever need a book recommendation — whether you’re in the mood for something cozy and comforting or dark and twisty — I’ll likely have a good suggestion. Check back her regularly as I’ll regularly update and share my latest reads, some of my favorites, and maybe even a few books that surprised me along the way!

A few of my recent favorites
I’ll be honest — historical fiction usually isn’t my go-to genre. But The Women by Kristin Hannah completely surprised me... in the best way. Like pretty much everything she writes, this one pulled me in and kept me hooked from the very beginning.
Kristin Hannah has such a gift for creating strong, complex female characters and weaving real, emotional depth into her storytelling. The Women was no different — I found myself deeply invested in the characters and their journeys, feeling all the emotions right along with them. The historical setting felt rich and authentic without being overwhelming, which made it super approachable even for someone who doesn’t usually gravitate toward this genre.
If you’re like me and don’t typically reach for historical fiction, this might be the book (or the author!) that changes your mind.
The Women
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
If you’re looking for a can't-put-it-down psychological thriller that keeps you guessing until the very last page, The Silent Patient is a must-read. This bestselling “whodunit” draws you into the haunting story of Alicia Berenson — a successful painter who seemingly has the perfect life… until the shocking night she shoots her husband — and then never speaks another word.
Enter Theo Faber, a determined psychotherapist obsessed with uncovering Alicia’s hidden past and unlocking the mystery behind her silence. As Theo digs deeper into her life, secrets unravel in unexpected ways — and nothing is as it first seems.
This was the book that pulled me into the world of psychological thrillers. I literally couldn’t put it down — it kept me hooked from cover to cover and made for the perfect vacation read. Twisty, dark, and full of suspense, it’s the kind of story that leaves you thinking long after you’ve finished.
If you love thrillers with jaw-dropping endings, complex characters, and slow-burning tension — this one definitely delivers. Highly recommend adding it to your To Be Read (TBR) list!
This one is the perfect feel-good summer romance — light, fun, and full of small-town lake vibes. It’s a continuation from Every Summer After, bringing us back to charming Barry’s Bay with a fresh story featuring Alice and Charlie.
I’m loving the mix of nostalgia, second chances, and all the heart-fluttering summer moments. If you enjoy books that feel like a cozy beach day with a little drama and a lot of heart, this one’s for you!
Bonus: You don’t have to read the first book to enjoy this — but if you did read Every Summer After, you’ll appreciate the connections even more!
