Nashville Visit

Nashville – Where the Music’s Great and the People Are Even Better

If there’s one thing we’ll remember most about Nashville, it’s how nice everyone is. From Uber drivers to servers to strangers on the street, every interaction came with a smile and a little southern charm. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming, even when your flight lands late and you don’t crawl into bed until 2 a.m.!

Our first full day kicked off with breakfast at the hotel before setting out to explore Broadway. We decided to walk the 20 blocks, which turned out to be a great way to take in the city and catch a few sights along the way, like Union Station, a gorgeous hotel built to match the old Nashville architecture. We stopped by The Legends Corner for some live music, grabbed wings at Honky Tonk Central (they fall into our top 3 wings list), and checked out the view from Luke’s 32 Bridge rooftop bar. Nashville was buzzing that night with Posty’s grand opening (complete with a free Post Malone concert in the street) and the Temptations and Four Tops live at the Ryman, so the streets were packed. Still, even in the chaos, everyone was friendly and patient. Nashville really does “nice” better than anywhere else.

The next couple of days were all about balance, live music and sunshine, sightseeing and naps, tacos and pool time. We spent hours relaxing by the pool, reading (I finished a book in two days), and enjoying the slower pace before heading back downtown for rooftop drinks at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar, followed by dinner with live music. Whether in the middle of Broadway or tucked away at a quiet spot for lunch, everyone we met was genuinely kind and welcoming.

By day three we were feeling like locals, sleeping in, enjoying breakfast, catching some rays, and exploring new corners of the city. One highlight was the rooftop at ACME Feed & Seed for dinner and drinks, with its west-end river views. It was the perfect place to unwind, people-watch, and soak in that Nashville energy.

Our final full day started early with the Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour, which turned into a bit of an adventure (and a lesson in patience!). After a few hiccups and a very long wait, we finally made it to The Gulch, where we found amazing pizza at Emmy Squared, and once again, that signature Nashville hospitality. It was the perfect little reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Lower Broadway. And kudos to Viator for stepping up with a full refund on our tour!

Five nights turned out to be just the right amount of time to really experience Nashville. By the end, we were ready to head back to normal life, full of memories, music, and southern kindness. The early wake-up for our 7:15 a.m. flight came a little too soon, but even at the busy airport, everyone was friendly and helpful (because of course they were, it’s Nashville!). And yes, a Voodoo Doughnut and coffee made that pre-dawn flight just a little sweeter.

If you’re planning a trip to Nashville, go for the music and food, but stay for the people, because truly, in this city, everyone’s just plain nice. – Stacii
